Tamil is a versatile actor with over 100 credits combined from on-stage and on-screen projects. He is a proud member of both Actors Equity Association (AEA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA).

ON STAGE he has appeared in a principal role off-Broadway and several Broadway new play workshops, working with the likes of Rajiv Joseph and F Murray Abraham. He's also performed in a Broadway-bound play led by Tony Award-winning producers.
He's performed in dozens of plays regionally, ranging in roles from Othello and Tamburlaine the Great to Mr. Darcy and Stanley Kowalski to contemporary characters like Dr. Krishnan in Quixotic Professor Qiu and Richard in The Humans.
Recently he was cast as America's most famous writer Edgar Allan Poe in a one-man show about Poe's mental traumas; his performances were highly praised (see reviews and quotes here).

ON SCREEN he's appeared in numerous network and streaming TV shows and movies. Most famously, he was in the Emmy Award-winning limited-series Dopesick (Hulu) as the only character in the entire show to say the title of the show. He also plays the director of a hit reality TV show in the popular movie Zoey 102 (Paramount+).
He's had scenes opposite Chris Meloni, Peter Sarsgaard, Dylan McDermott, Melanie Zanetti, Thomas Lennon, Shantel VanSanten, John Hoogenakker, Jamie Lynn-Spears, and Theo Rossi to name a few.
Recently he booked and shot a recurring guest star role on a major network that will premiere later this year.
